Returns Policy

Returns & Exchanges Policy

At Affordable Bridal each gown is carefully selected and often specially ordered to ensure your wedding day is nothing short of perfect. Please read our policy carefully before purchasing.

  1. Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind on:

  • Wedding gowns
  • Veils, Headpieces, Jewellery or Bras
  • Custom orders or special-order items
  • Altered garments

This is due to the made-to-order and intimate nature of bridal wear.

We encourage all brides to take their time during fittings and ask any questions before confirming an order.

  1. Faulty or Incorrect Items

In accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if an item is:

  • Faulty or has a manufacturing defect
  • Significantly different from the item described or ordered
  • Not fit for its intended purpose

We may require an inspection of the item before determining the appropriate remedy.

  1. ‘Off the Rack’ Gowns

Gowns purchased off the rack are sold:

  • As-is
  • With any existing wear and tear at time of purchase.

These items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

  1. Deposits & Payments
  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your gown order
  • Full payment is required before collection or dispatch
  • Orders will not be processed until payment terms are met
  1. Alterations

Alterations are carried out by independent seamstresses or recommended specialists. We are not responsible for alteration work completed by third parties.  Alteration costs are not included in the price of a dress.

Altered gowns are considered final sale.

  1. Order Timeframes

Formal Dresses and Bridal Gowns are typically made to order and require lead times from our designers which can range from three to seven months.

Once an order is placed, changes or cancellations may not be possible.

  1. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a remedy for major failures with products.
