What is a trunk show?
A trunk show is when a designer loans a boutique their latest collection or a special selection of gowns for a limited period of time, these are not normally in-store and the events are limited. These beautiful creations have practically come straight from the runways! The name Trunk Show comes from the notion of dresses travelling around the country in a suitcase (or trunk).
Should I go to one?
You will be able to view gowns that are normally not available in store and see all the latest release gowns. Trunk shows are a great way to see more dresses from your favourite designer as most stores only keep a capsule collection and not the full range from each designer. Trunk Shows are fun and perfect for you to see something special.
What should I expect?
Your consultation will work very similar to a normal bridal consultation. You will have a stylist look after you one-on-one, the bonus is you will see even more dresses and have exclusive access to say YES and receive your dress sometimes even before they are officially released in store.
Do I need to say 'yes'?
Only if you find your LOVE gown! Many of our brides have found their gown at one of these events! As the dresses are only instore for a limited time be sure to bring your most trusted opinions so you are ready in case that special gown finds you. During a Trunk Show or special event we normally offer something extra special – be it Champagne, a gift or a special discount at your first appointment.
